Natural Nutrients

Every plant has its own unique nutrient profile. Not just in terms of the macronutrients of fibre, protein, fat, sugars and starch, but also in terms of micronutrients; vitamins and minerals, and phytonutrients, niche compounds with health-boosting properties.
Some examples of the nutrient characteristics of different plants include:ย
๐ŸŒฟRosemary is a great natural source of Magnesium and is also high in polyphenols which are great for the hindgut and more.
๐ŸŒนRosehips contain more vitamin C than citrus fruits! Plus they're a great source of vitamin E and Biotin. The phytonutrients include compounds that have been shown to improve the insulin response in diabetic humans.
โ˜˜๏ธNettles are a great source of magnesium and calcium, plus powerful antioxidants
๐ŸŒผMarigold is high in manganese and iodine, plus carotene (pre cursor for vitamin A) in addition to antioxidant, antiinflammatory, and lymphatic supporting phytonutrients
๐Ÿ’ฎChamomile is a rich source of Potassium plus vitamins A, C & D, as well as gut soothing and antiinflammatory compounds
A diet that is rich in plant diversity, will also be rich in nutrient diversity!! Not just all the essential vitamins and minerals, but also the health boosting phytonutrients which help the body to stay fit and well ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ

Chaucer's Hoof-It Superfood

Chaucerย

Chaucer was an epic horse, with pretty good health, but a slight propensity for hooves to chip and crack. Our flagship superfood was formulated in his honour. He was Em's heart horse who was sadly lost to colic in 2021.

Milly's Meadow

Milly

Milly is Nia's heart horse, number one teacher and leader into rabbithole explorations!! Milly is a classic good-doer, slightly metabolic, but she is generally in very good health. Sometimes her grazing needs to be restricted, so Milly's blend was formulated to provide metabolic support and dietary diversity, when access to varied herbage is restricted or lacking. ย

Chill Your BOO!ts

Boo

Boo is a beautiful gypsy cob, who is often like a duck... looks calm on the surface but underneath, it's all manic!! Because he internalises his worries, he appears to go from 0 to 100 in a blink of an eye. So we formulated Chill Your Boots to help him to worry less. We wanted an anti-anxiety approach, rather than a ย 'doping' approach, to ease anxieties and worries, whilst still allowing the horse to process what they are encountering.
